3 DIY Natural Hand Sanitizer Recipes

3 DIY Natural Hand Sanitizer Recipes

In an official FDA news release dated April 11, 2019, they stated:

“Consumer antiseptic hand sanitizers provide a convenient alternative when hand washing with plain soap and water is unavailable… If soap and water are not available, the CDC recommends using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol.”

In order to accomplish this, it is essential to use the right alcohol:

· High proof grain alcohol (90+% Ethanol/Ethyl alcohol or high proof, 94% alcohol Everclear) OR

· 91-99% Isopropyl rubbing alcohol

DO NOT USE regular vodka, as it is only 40% alcohol.
